I visited a fishnet factory that stood for 104 years before a horrible storm in January, producing winds at 129 mph. tore the roof & most of the 3rd floor off the building. I returned to discover the office building that serviced this factory is also abandoned, a result of the total shutdown of it's parent's business. How sad!

Bob, great image and a sad story. I did not know that you had such bad storms in Oregon. Wow ,129mph winds. Just like the hurricaines in Florida.

The Columbia River Gorge acts as a wind tunnel. The storm that hit Astoria, Vernonia & most of the coast produced high winds and extreme amounts of rain. That combination uprooted 200 year old trees because of the eroding effect combined with sustained 75 mph winds over a 14 hour period.

That is a great image and a sad story. I remember seeing your excellent before and after images of the factory in THIS POST (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=376458&postcount=1). Thanks for sharing these...
