Hi everyone,
I just went from PE4 to PE7.
In PE4 I had the options of Sharpen More and Sharpen Edges (Filter > Sharpen). I can't find these two options in PE7. I don't see them in Filter > Other or in Enhance > ....
Here's my problem: I have a tut (Color ink sketch effect) that requires applying Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen More (3 times).
Here's my question: What do I use in PE7 to achieve the same effect as the Sharpen More option in PE4?
Thanks for helping me here. I do appreciate it. Going from PE4 to PE7 was quite a big jump for me.

Hi Sepiana - I found this over at the Safari Books web site:
Note: If you've used early versions of Elements, you may be searching in vain on the Filter menu for the Sharpen filters. It's true—your old friends Sharpen and Sharpen More are gone. In their place, Adjust Sharpness appears at the bottom of the Enhance menu, along with Unsharp Mask. (Both of these features are explained in the following sections.) If you miss the one-click ease of Sharpen and Sharpen More, just head over to the Quick Fix and use its Auto button to get the same effect.

Simenon,
Thanks so much for taking the time to peruse that website and find me the answer. That's exactly what I needed.
By the way, any relation to Georges Simenon, the famous writer, creator of Maigret, the police detective? I'm a big fan -- own and have read most of the books in that series.

Hi Sepiana - no, I am no relation to Georges Simenon the late Belgian author though given the massive size of his estate I certainly wish I was. I was trying to come up with a log-in name one day and everything I used seemed to be already taken so I typed in Simenon and it worked. I too am a big Simenon fan. I own and have read all of his several hundred short novels in the original French and to boot about 3000 pages of his personal memoirs (which he referred to as his 'dictées' since they were recorded rather than written out).
I am still on PSE 4 which I have beefed up with a number of power plugins, but I will be following your experiences with Elements 7. I may weaken one day and buy the upgrade myself, but my planning right now is to do so at the time of my next PC purchase.
I believe that info at Safari Books was from The Missing Manual 7.
