Well I finally figured out why my Atomic Cupcake filters are not working in PSE 7. The filters used to create the actions aren't working. I checked , per someone's suggestion, to make sure they were there in PSE 7 but never bothered to test them. Finally did and they won't work. Artistic Filters, Brush Strokes, Textures, and Sketches. Everything else seems to be working just fine. I am thinking these files must be corrupt. Is there a way to replace just these files? I would like to avoid re-installing PSE 7.... Any suggestions appreciated :).

Just a thought - how much spare RAM memory do you have available to Photoshop (look in Help>System Info). Seems to me I recall reading somewhere that some of the filters only run in RAM and if you are short of RAM then they just don't run at all and don't give you a warning.

Not sure which is the RAM

Memory available to Photoshop 1649 MB

or Scratch Volume 58.1 GB

:o:o:o:o... If it's not enough how do I go about upping the RAM

That's not the problem then - you sound like you have plenty of RAM to run those filters (some filters won't run in scratch memory so it's the available RAM that counts). I don't have any ideas why they won't run. I think all those filters are in the Filter Gallery.8bf file which is in the plug-in>effects folder. I don't think it's changed in the last few versions and it's hard to see how some of the filters in it apparently work and some don't. If it's a new install I think I'd try Adobe support for help on fixing it.
