I have just been asked by my college instructor if Elements 4.0 comes with Adobe Gamma and also if it will "batch convert" file types like CS3?
Any help would be appreciated.

You mentioned in your other post you are on a mac. suggest using the mac screen calibrater: click on the light switch icon on the dock>display>color>calibrate. Have had very good success. Haven't heard much good about adobe gamma-most pc users seem to buy calibration equipment. PSE4 for mac uses the CS2 raw processor. There is enough improvement to justify upgrading to PSE6 for mac as that uses CS3 raw processor.

From the articles I've read, Adobe Gamma isn't effective for LCD monitors, only CRTs.

These links refer to PSE 4 and Adobe Gamma, so it appears it was included with that version:

As far as batch converting file types, you can do that with File > Process Multiple Files.

Hope this helps.
