I have 100's of photos I would like to display randomly in either a screen saver or as a Slideshow. I have PSE4 and its slideshow capabilities are quite rudimentary. http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/images/icons/icon8.gif

I need a slideshow that can do the following:
-Randomly display photos in a file
-Include the captions and filename from PSE4, and
-save endpoint to begin the next time the slideshow is initiated (this last is desirable).

Can anyone point me to a good software. I have tried Ifranview, ACDsee, and Gphoto. None satisfy my needs.

I use ProShow Gold, and love it but that may not suffice for what you're wanting. I'd check it out though. However, for a good chunk of money you can purchase ProShow Producer. That should do it.

I agree with patkc2000 (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/member.php?u=19683). I also use proshow gold and someday will upgrade to producer.

Thanks to both of you. I looked at Proshow but I do not see in thier features that it meets the 3 requirements that I listed in the original post. Do you two, know from using it, that I can do the three things--especially bring up captions inserted via PSE4?http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.gif

It is free to download and works well as a screensaver. I think you can do the first two and the third not sure.

Anyway - it is free.
