Hi, I am about to pull hair! All of a sudden, when I move a picture from Organizer to Edit in PSE 5.0 instead of the dimension being 6 x 4" it is 32 x 24". I know I can resize the pic, but this didn't happen until yesterday. Can't think of a thing I have changed that would create this situation. Have the day off tomorrow and wanted to spend it digi-scrapping and now this! "Picklebummers" as my granddaughter would say! Any suggestions?

I wouldn't worry - I suspect nothing has changed. Look at the pixel dimensions and they should be identical. If so it just means that Organizer and Editor are using two different numbers for resolution. It's an arbritary number and won't effect anything. No need to resize it. Print it out on 4x6 paper and it will come out 4x6

Thanks for your input Tony. . . but when I go to print, the print info says it will print at 32 x 24" and that some cropping will occur due to 8 1/2 x 11 paper size. Any additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated! So many pictures to scrap, so little time!

I don't have PSE5 handy but in PSE6 I would just select 4x6 as the print size in the print dialogue. Or set the paper size to 4x6 and select fit on page. I thought PSE5 was similar.

Or if you could go into Image Resize, make sure the resample box is unchecked and change the width to 6 - that will adjust the resolution without changing any pixels.

Tony thanks so much for your additional input. I really do appreciate it! I know I can change the size and get a 4 x 6 to print, but what I can't figure out, and perhaps I am just anal, is why suddenly photos are now coming into Editor at 32 x 24". Also, this AM I am finding that my blending modes don't work. I have about 14,000 images in Organizer which I don't want to spend hours/days/weeks retagging. If I reload PSE 5.0, can I just load the Editor and will my Organizer stay in tact? I do have the catalog backed up. Thanks for any additional info!

First thing to try is reset preferences:

Hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac) immediately after (or while) launching the Editor. A prompt will ask if you want to delete the preferences file. Click Yes.
