GIFs in a post?

What is the secret of getting animated gifs into a post.
I don't mean the ones that are there but Happy Birthday, Thanks, Yeah .....
I have them but don't know how to use them.

Can you do this without going through pixentral??????????
The gif is there at pixentral but not here. You can click on this(!!) and see it.

Yes you can do it. Click on the paper clip and insert it as an attachment:

As long as the gif is under 19.5kB it will work (yours was around 10). But doing it that way you would have to click on her to get her to dance :)

To have a dancing one in a post you would need to post it to a web-site and then link to the image on that web-site. Click on the Insert Image icon and insert the pixentral link (not the forum one but the image one). That will give you this:

I guess Pixentral caught me - can't blame it for not liking hot-linking ;). I've done it by hot linking to a gif on my ISP's personal webspace but don't particularly like to do that. I thought I managed to do it with an image on this site too but something may have changed - or I forgot how I did it.

Once again my curiosity has gotten the best of me!! Can you explain how to hotlink from step 1? Example: How did Kim get those lovely teeth animated in her avatar or how did Sepiana animate her flag? I'll understand if it is too complicated and you don't want to explain it. ;)

I don't know about the animated avatars. I think that is different.
They are hosted on this site.
The animated gif's are different. Hot linking is illegal.
Don't know how to do it anyway.
But the Happy Birthday - Yeah - Thank yous had me curious.

Edit: There were a couple animated entries in recent BeCreative Challenges.
Bayla showed how to do it in Save for web.
Me and the search on this site don't get along.
I guess I don't speak "search".
