Elements 7 Welcome Screen

In previous versions of Elements you could choose to have Elements open in either Editor or Organizer, by-passing the welcome screen. This option doesn't seem available in v7 even though the Help menu says
"You can choose the workspace you want from the Start Up With Welcome Screen menu at the bottom of the Welcome screen."
There doesn't seem to be a Start Up menu.

I found this, too. But you can bypass the startup screen completely by creating a shortcut to one of the core components:
i.e.
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
or
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe
