Fading software?

I'm using 6.0. Until recently, when I opened several photos, those still active showed at the bottom. No longer happens. I click down there in the lower left on the arrow to "Show Project Bin" and nothing happens. Ditto when I go to the menu bar/Window and try to activate Project Bin there.
Has my software lost its way? Or could I have done something wrong?

DonONoel, I'll assume you are using Windows.

The project bin should show up regardless of whether you have loaded any images.

Try the three fingered start-up.

Close Elements.

Hold down the Shift, CTRL, and ALT keys at the same time, and start Elements. Answer "YES" to the question about deleting Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings file.

That frequently fixes PSE when it fails to operate "with a full deck".

Sorry, should have said: Apple OSx Leopard on an iMac. What's the remedy in that case?

Try the same three-key start-up and see if the dialog comes up asking if you want to delete the settings, and answer yes if it does.

If the dialog doesn't come up, no harm done.
