After working in Organizer and Edit functions and exiting Elements 6, when I restart Elements 6 it will not open. I have to reboot my PC in order to open Elements. I have installed Elements on two different PCs and I have encountered this problem on both PCs. Has any experienced this problem and found a solution?

Well, my elements 5 tends to bog down, but that is because I've added too much stuff to it.:o
I would think you would need to check to see the amount of memory and space your computer has to run the program.
Elements eats up a bunch.
I'm certain more experienced than I will be along shortly with a better answer.

I have one PC where 6 would not start. Reinstall fixed things for a short time. Gave up and used another PC. Then I double clicked a .psd file and 6 Editor started! I created a shortcut to PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe and all is well.

You might be experiencing the Adobe licensing bug. Try downloading the patch:

http://www.adobe.com/go/kb403002

Be sure to follow the precise installation instructions, which are different than the typical "run the file you just downloaded".

I had a similar problem which I understand is connected to Nortons. When you shut down Elements, check in Windows Task Manager under the processes tab to see if elements is still running in there with a large memory usage. If it is, end the process, & then you will be able to reopen Elements. This is also a problem with CS3 & the Firefox web browser which Nortons know about.
