Hi

I have just loaded PE6 and I am unable to view RAW files downloaded from my camera (Nikon D60) although I am able to view and edit through the camera software, the files display the extension .NEF, any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

You'll need to update the Adobe Camera Raw version that came with PSE6 for it to work with D60 files. The first version released for the D60 was 4.4.1:

http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3896

Scroll down the page and follow the instructions on how to download and install in PSE6. There are Mac and Windows versions so make sure you get the right one. (I linked to the Windows ones)

If you want you could get a later version here:

"....The first version released for the D60 was 4.4.1:..." If you download the latest version ACR 4.6 you will be able to calibrate the colours for your particular camera; manufacturing tolerances mean each camera renders colours slightly differently. Calibration made some subtle, but useful, differences to my Canon 450D CR2 files and quite large differences to my Minolta A2 MRW files; something I had been struggling to achieve, for some time, without the help of calibration.
