file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/ebjers/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-4.jpgIn Phtoshop Elements 6 I am working on a picture I took. In this picture I have one edge that does not show smooth in Photoshop but shows smooth when viewing the image in any other program. I have tried the image in multiple formats with the same result.

If you look at the attached image the right edge of the dark area is what I am talking about. While this edge should appear smooth like _______ it is staggered like _-_-_-_-_.

Like I said the image looks correct in any other program, so I am assuming this is something to do with Photoshop.

Does anyone have any idea if there is anything that can be done to make this edge look correct in Photoshop, all other edges appear as they should in all my pictures.

We really can't judge from the posted image, which is too small. Generally, take your magnification to 50% or 100% and see if it looks better then.

I know you can not tell from the posted image, that was just to use as a reference to indicate where the problem is. Also as I stated earlier the image looks fine in any program other than photoshop and it is only that one edge that has a problem.

I have tried different levels of zoom and the edge still does not appear smooth.

It could be any number of reasons. Without being able to see it, it's impossible to answer your question.

It's a little like asking your doctor what could be causing a rash but only letting him see from the end of the path.

Since this only shows up in photoshop posting the image it's self would not show the problem. So I have taken a screen shot of photoshop and cropped it around the problem area, I have also marked it.

You can see it here http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/dynoGallDetail.asp?photoID=7140950
