I switched from a pc to a mac, was using pse6 for windows, now i've downloaded pse6 for mac.

i was surprised that it's so similar, i thought the actions would be significantly different for the mac and they're not.

i am having a zoom problem, however - i'm used to using my scroll wheel to zoom, one of my favorite pse features - i'm not using the mac mighty mouse, i'm using my microsoft wireless laser 6000 mouse that i aways used. i wasn't a fan of the mac mouse, so i switched back to the one i was comfortable with.

in pse6 for windows, i could go to preferences and check a box so that i could zoom using my scroll wheel - i can't find that feature in pse6 for mac.

this is so frustrating for me, can someone help?

thanks so much for any advice you can give me.

If you look at the keys right next to the space bar, you see they have something that looks like a clover sign. Some keyboards also have an apple logo on that same key. This is called the command key. If you hit that key with another key a the same time you can get different functions

Command and zero at the same time will give you the best fit pic size in your work area.

Command and -(minus) at the same time will zoom your pic out. It will get smaller.

Command and +(plus) at the same time will zoom your pic in. It will get more magnified.

I hope that's what you're looking for.

In the Elements 6 Preferences-->General pane, there's a box labelled "Zoom with scroll wheel," which is unchecked by default. If you check that, does the zoom wheel work correctly? I had one mouse that didn't zoom properly, but I've tried about four others, and they all zoom in or out the way they should.
