I bought the Comics actions but the installation instructions are for XP/Vista.

Got any ideas?

I don't think Panos makes anything for Mac.
Is that what you need?

Not sure what PSE version you have (or what OS) but the pdf files under documentation on this page:

http://www.panosfx.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=209

have installations instructions for PSE3,4,5,6 for both Windows XP/Vista and Mac OS.

Thanks I already had the pdf.

This is my problem:

I can't figure out how to install a new Panos action in my Mac-based PSE6.

The instructions that were on a Panos pdf had:

Library>Application Support>Abode>Photoshop Elements>6.0>Photo Creations>Photo Effects

I can't even find Photo Creations? You're supposed to paste the action files and thumbnails inside the photo effects folder. I get Presets after PSE6.

I assume you access the Library through Test.

(I also sent you another email about this issue, this morning).

I missed something in the instructions while typing the installation paths in MacOS (that is: the locale/En-US).

The path to install the atn and png files is:
Library / Application Support / Abode / Photoshop Elements / 6.0 / Locale / En-US / Photo Creations / Photo Effects

The path to install the xml files is:
Library / Application Support / Abode / Photoshop Elements / 6.0 / Locale / En-US / Photo Creations Metadata
/ Photo Effects

I needed to start the path at the HD, which I wasn't doing.

I managed to place the "actions and thumbnails" and "XML" into the photoeffects folder.

Then I went on this path: Library>Application Support>Abobe>Photoshop Elements>6.0>Locale>en-US

There was a MediaDatabase.db3 file and a MediaDatabaseOLD.db3 file already there. The OLD one was a Unix Executable file of 2.1MB. The other was a Document file of 2.3MB.

The instructions said to either delete the MediaDatabase.db3 or rename it to MediaDatabaseOLD.db3 by clicking on its name and pressing F2, recreating the file automatically, I guess when PSE6 is launched.

Since I already have a MediaDatabaseOLD.db3 file what should I do?

Rename your current MediaDatabase.db3 to MediaDatabaseOLD1.db3 or simply delete your current MediaDatabaseOLD.db3 since that is not being used anymore anyway.

You sure I can delete the OLD meta base with screwing things up?

You can either rename it or delete it.
PSE will rebuild the files.

I want to profusely thank Panos Efstathiadis for the many emails, including one with new files, to help me install his actions in PSE6.

The image below was saved for web and does not do justice to the higher res psd it was created from.

Panos and Graffi are both wonderful people to work with.

Both will go overboard to give you the help needed when working with their products. :)
