Hi everyone,

Here's my creation following Mike's tut in the latest issue of the Newsletter.

I had done this technique before, but I did it my way. (Oh, I sound like Sinatra!) My process was tedious and full of convoluted steps; his is easy to follow and straight forward.

Mike, where were you when I needed you? You could've spared me a few additional strands of grey hair. But, thanks anyway; I can still put your tut to good use.:)

First of all, fine work. You picked a great image to use.

As to where I was...hmmm...likely finishing up the school year last June, if memory serves...:D That's always a hectic time...

As for the technique, I found this is one that can be done many different ways. I played with a few different methods before settling on this one. I bet you learned a lot doing it your way!

Thanks,
Mike

I agree with Mike, Sepiana...beautiful job. This technique continues to intrigue me. I've decided to use it as the theme for my 2009 greeting cards. I should really be good at it by 2010.

Mike - Thanks for the nice words! Credits go to you for writing this tut.

Shar - Thanks! This technique offers so many possibilities; I can see triptyches in my dreams!

Thanks, George, Mary Lou, Val, and Martha. I do appreciate your feedback.

I love Arches. I was shooting them from every angle possible (including lying on the ground to get a different perspective); my husband was also shooting and I think I drove him crazy -- is the polarizer filter on? switch to the zoom lenses, get that angle, etc.

Here is my attempt. It was a fun exercise. I'll have to try another one.
