Hi guys,

Been a while, hard to get time with the girlfriend and work but I have 2 more projects completed, please leave me some feedback, sepecially from the more senior member as to what I can do better. Newbies like my self feel free to ask and suggest things too.

Ayia Napa Sunrise, before:

After:

Both there were taken with my little Sony DSC-P200 P&S, maybe a little over done but I liked the effect.

Portglenone Forest Pathway, before:

After:

This was taken with my new Canon 1000D, can you see the difference, still along way to go to get my head round all the settings and accessories I need to use on a DSLR but I am having alot of fun trying it all out.

Thanks for the comments, I will be on at some point everyday.

Thanks for looking guys

Another great pair... Love the over the top saturation on the sunset and a great lens flare on the forest path.

Hmm.... girlfriend and a job??? guess the job has to go.:D

Gary,

No job would mean no nice new toys to play with :), thanks for the comment. I thought I may have over saturated the colours a little to much but I just loved the colours in the sky and If I had of had a lighter foreground I think the picture woul have looked out of balance.

I am really reall happy wich the forest path, going to go back again this weekend and maybe reduce the feild depth to put the ditant trees out of focus slightly, would that add more to it? So much to learn with a DSLR :).

It might look better. :p

Just take what you like, play away and have fun.

Remember ... the pictures you take are for your enjoyment (unless someone is paying you). So who cares if the saturation is over the top or the trees are blurry. As long as you like it, that is what matters.

Photography is a bit qurky and what you prefer today may not be to your liking next week. Also as you learn new things your approach to what and how you shoot will change.

Enjoy the journey.:)
