I got the on one essentials download from the PET contest. I thought I'd be more excited about the selection tools, but haven't even gotten to them yet. I didn't think I'd have much use for Make It Better mode, but after a test have found out I wasn't as good at processing as I thought. Having been greatly humbled have now made it part of my workflow. I processed an image in acr, opened in PSE6, and immediately made a dupe. After I did my usual edits on the original, I then trialed make it better on the dupe. Make it better won.:o

Linda

Don't sell yourself short.
I think it is a matter of what mood you are in at the time of viewing.. both look great to me.

I really like the Frames section in Essentials. Likely because I never know what to do to finish one off for posting.:D

I thought the color balance was a little truer to my memory() and I liked the better job on shadow detail. Have played with frames, but also like making my own. Am looking forward to spending the Winter trying OOB with all the selection stuff, though.

Linda, I'd be hard pressed to choose one; I love them both; they look great.

Do I have a soulmate here? I've just installed this sofware (got it through the IOW contest as well), and went straight for the frames. But, like you, I enjoy making them from scratch too.

I'm with the pack - I think they both look great. But there's a lot to be said for a "one click wonder" tool when you are in the mood for one!

It's actually multiple clicks. I'm pretty fast, so it wasn't any faster. Just liked some of the nit picky details type results.:)
