Hereis one using a filter called Alienmist, I tried to create the feeling of an early morning autumnal (fall) mist.

Hi Pat,
glad you like the filters, the clarity one gives first class results.
I don't know if you noticed but there are PDF files to download which give a run down on how to use filters.
Happy elementing :)

Kev.

For those of us who are new to downloading filters here the steps I took to get them working in Elements 3 or 4. At least it's what worked for me after a few trys. I've avoided downloading them because I wasn't sure where to put them so I took the time to finally learn it. Maybe it's not 100% applicable to all, but if you have a standard computer set-up it works just fine.

Before downloading I created a new folder in Elements. You can also do this when you unzip using the same path as below. For newcommers, creating it first can be less confusing.

Open: Windows Explorer\My Computer\Local Disk C\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 4.0\Plug-Ins\Filters: (or replace Local Disk C with the path where your elements program is stored)

In the Filters folder I created a new folder - name it what you wish - I called mine Added.

When you go back to unzip your new files you'll be asked to choose where you want to store your files. Browse and select the new folder you created. Your new filters will be stored here.

Restart your computer.
Open Adobe Elements
Choose Edit\Preferences\Plug-Ins & Scratch Disk
check the box - additional Plug-Ins folder then hit "choose" to locate the new folder. Hit OK and your back to Prefereces Window - hit OK again.
Under FILTER on the Elements main menu bar, XERO will be at the bottom of the filters list.
When you select it a list of your new filters are available. Choose one and the XERO Illustrator will open. You are ready to create.

Hope this helps. The XERO read me doesn't give instructions on how to install the filters in Elements.
