Hello, I am new here and I found this site trying to find an effective smudge painting tut that even a beginner can use. This is my first attempt and I would like constructive critism on it please.
I know it is not good but it's an attempt and hopefully will only get better. I put them on as attachments - I hope it works.
I love this site - there is so much information given here and everyone seems friendly.

Nice 1st attempt. Oddly enough, I've found out they turn out even better if start with a sharp photo.

Good. Will I need a Wacom Tablet for this?

A tablet does make it easier in terms of comfort. The 1st time I did a very complex smudge(worked 4hrs straight) the resulting claw for a hand convinced me to get a pen tablet. I've been very glad I did.
