Gallery Problems

I'm trying to upload a pic to EV and PET Galleries. PET Gallery said it is not a JPG and EV Gallery said upload failed. It is a JPG. I have resaved the pic several times and resized it to no avail. Any ideas?

800 wide is too big I think. Try save for web and make it 700 wide.

I haven't resized any of the pics that I have uploaded so far and it has uploaded them and it is telling that it is not in JPG. ???

EDIT: This was really bugging me and I couldn't sleep so I go up and tried resizing it and it worked!! Thanks Jo, now I can go to bed!!
