The picture on the left is the day we found our dog, Dehesa, wandering around Dehesa Rd. It didn't look like she would last much longer. We rushed her to the vet and they thought she had mange because of all the hair loss. Turns out it was just malnutrition. With much love and care she has turned out to be a beautiful dog. We have had her now for 10 years and hope she goes another 10 years.

Wonderful story. It was probably stress that caused the mange in the first place. So glad you found each other. Shar

She looks so pretty and happy! And I know from our abused stray cat, they love you and appreciate you all the more. He lets us know with his almost instant purring the minute we touch him. So glad there are people like you who will take the time to help an animal in need!

Back in the middle 80's, we found a dog in Michigan. She was all beat up, had fleas, and was thin. We cleaned her up, fed her, and took her to the vet. She was instantly part of our family...we named her Lucky.

It's nice to see a happy dog:) People who are cruel to animals  should have the same done to them! After all animals are at our mercy.

I have tears in my eyes. I used to be part of an animal rescue group and it brought back to memory all the abuse, neglect, and suffering I saw.
Thanks for taking Dehesa into your home! She looks so good now; one can see the obvious results of TLC. I wish there more people like you.
