Hi:
Does anyone know if PSE 6 has a color range feature? In Photoshop CS it would be under Select>Color Range.

I know PSE6 does have the Quick Selection tool, but it doesn't get the same effect that Color range does.

Thanks!

The tolerance setting in the selection tools defines the color range in PSE6 according to help section.

There's no Color Range selection in Elements, unfortunately. There's nothing that really emulates it, either.

From Adobe's help:
"Magic Wand tool Selects pixels of similar color with one click."
You can change tolerance.
I don't know how this tool works in versions after CS.

The Magic Wand uses a similar principle but is not as controllable as the Color Range function, which resembles Elements' Replace Color tool dialog.

Hi ...

Colour Range is a great way to make selections and I do wish that it was in Elements :)

You have to be a little careful with the Magic Wand as it doesn't really select the unique Colour when you first click. Its tolerance value is applied to each RGB channel seperately so you can find colours selected that are nothing like you thought.
