I ran across this poem a few days ago and wanted to use it for a Gregory scrap page. He's in Kindergarten now and sometimes hope is hard to keep hold of, but he may some day be able to walk and use his hands like a normal child.

I made the background with the instructions from Linda Sattgast's August premiere videos. I'm probably not done playing with this idea, but here's one...

Jo, I was just thinking about you and your grandson today and am happy to see your post. The Emily Dickinson poem is a lovely sentiment; perfect for families of children with special needs. I like how you incorporated some of Gregory's writing. The main image is the show-stopper, though. Gregory has the most beautiful eyes and I bet his smile lights up the room. I wish you guys the best of luck and hope that kindergarten is a good experience. :)

Thanks girls. Any suggestions are welcome. As I said this is a work in progress and I'll probably keep playing with it until the light switches on.

Julie, I'm touched that you recognized Gregory's drawing on my "Hope" page. I consider it his "signature" until the day he gets control of his hands and can actually write his name. He's able to print a "G" and "r" and sometimes "e" but he usually gets tired of the game before he finishes his whole name.
