I met up with a small group of Bird Watchers in a large Local Park (Ally Pond Park) that I haven't been to in many years. I used to go with a group of friends and ride our bikes into and around this park when we were kids and I haven't been into this park like this since about the late '70s.

This trip brought back some fond memories of what this park used to look like, but I guess we all get old. Some of these paths were so overgrown that I didn't have any memories of them anymore.

We happened to have seen a lot of small birds waiting for there Fall Migration to start and I do mean a lot. Never had been paying real close attention before to the many different small birds, just new they were there but never so many different kinds of species.

By the end of our tour the birds started to quiet down when the sun started to get hot in the sky, so since I (or we) were starting to get bored we were then noticeing the other animals like Chipmuncks/Racoons and of course a Salemandar which I thought went the way of the two lakes that were pretty much destroyed when construction on the nearby Parkway became intrusive and had to make the lakes history.

Instead of inserting 7 links to the images I am going to insert a link to my Birds and Small Animals Album over at Photobucket. The top seven are of todays images.

All C&C are appreciated.
