hello,
I am a beginner in elements 6 and on a new Mac no less. I have used elements for years in all previous versions on a Pc and had a ball and think I got to know it well. I am utterly stomped with the elements 6 version and dismayed!
How do I for example e-mail multiple photos and get them optimized for e-mail? I loved using the previous versions where you could find and select formats and quality levels and select pictures and frames and then send them off....? does this no longer exist in the elements 6 version? I miss the organizer...with a handy calendar of seeing photos grouped by calendar and at any given day....; I find Adobe bridge hard to use and difficult to integrate: how do i get multiple photos into the bin for processing one by one in elements or the full CS3? Unfortunately I am sitting (very happily) in the middle of the Tuscan countryside (and it is gorgeous, please don't hate me, I am really living my dream...right now, except for the shenannigans with elemetns 6)) but I have no Apple store or bookstore close for buying a quick reference and "How To book."... How for example, in the photo downloader do i find an option to erase all pictures after downloading them from a card (in a card reader) to my laptop? I have BTW followed tutorials and searched help features without much enlightenment.
Thank you so much to any kind soul who can help me with these issues.I have been wondering whether i really should splurge and install a new version for mac of elements 5 to get my functionality back?
thank you for any help,
angelique

I suggest you explore the joys of iPhoto that came with your mac. I only use bridge to browse my memory cards. If you have been using bridge it probably stashed the photos in the pictures file under your user. The nice thing about iPhoto is that it integrates with your email account(don't have to worry that adobe's server is working today). It also does all the processing to attach to email and without changing your originals. You just have to select the pics and let it run. iPhoto help may answer many of your questions. You can even set the preferences so that pic open from the library into PSE. To save edited pics they do have to be imported into iphoto. Most of us make an iphoto file on the desktop that we save edited pics into and then batch import. Keywording is similar to tags, so may adjust easily.
In Bridge to get multiple photos into the bin at once just hold down the command key while clicking to highlight them all and open with PSE. You can also use the process multiple files feature in Bridge or PSE.
The frames in PSE6 are located under the create tab in editor.
When you get back from Tuscany Barbara Brundage's Missing Manual for PSE6 for mac just came out and may find very helpful.
