Canon Rebel XSI JPG + RAW

If I take pics with the JPEG+RAW setting PSE6 does not recognize the RAW image. If I switch to just RAW the image is recognized. Am I doing something wrong? Have downloaded ACR 4.5.

I have an XSi as well. I have only shot once with JPG+RAW files. When I downloaded the files. I selected one of the CR2 files, then right clicked and selected PSE6 and checked marked "Always use this program to open these type of files.". Maybe this will help.

Thanks for the assistance, I tried your suggestion and still get a format not recognized error. Crazy thing is if I jut shoot RAW it recognizes.

Can't figure this out.
