wavy text

I want to put some text in red on a black background with a border and also to look as a wavy line. Have not dealt with text before, what's the best way to go about it?

Hi,
There are a couple of ways to do this. One is using warp text. Select the text and click on the toolbar button that has a T with a curve under it. Under 'style' on the dropdown arrow you can choose the wave or the flag warp. Then you can choose the amount of bend and change the distortion to horizontal or vertical.

You could also use the distort filter to achieve the same thing.
