I've selected my logo and it's in a transparent field ( layer? ).

I can't grab it with the move tool and move it to a psd I'm working on.

Why?

OK!

I could drag it if I placed the move tool right on the image ( my logo ), not just in the field ( the area with the squares at the corner and in the middle ).

Now you know what I'm taking about!

If you try to move something by 'grabbing' onto transparency nothing will happen - it's like grabbing the air next to an object and expecting the object to move as well. As you have discovered you have to click and drag on your actual logo.....or you can do Ctrl-A to select everything, Ctrl-C to copy it and then move over to the psd file you're working on and Ctrl-V to paste it. Especially useful on png files where it's difficult to grab on anything solid because the lines are fine or there's a lot of transparency.

Grabbing Air - what a perfect visual to explain transparencies surrounding pngs.

One of the most difficult things is drag/dropping a lacy png over to another project. If you have transform on - you can't drag it without turning transform off. It's difficult to grab a solid piece to drag.

Other than copy/paste - one can make the png very large by scrolling - and then it's easier to grab a piece.
