I edit my pictures in elements 5 and print them using a canon pixma ip45oo printer,,,BUT the picture color is way off. Before saving my edited shots , I save them to ICC and psd. My color printer is set to none, so photoshop is in charge...i think... anyway my printer choices are 1. driver matching 2. ICM Windows Image Color Mgmt. 3. none
I don't know where to correct for color...photoshop elements or my canon printer. My computer uses windows xp,,,,,,,,HELP:confused:

You'll find some help on my web site at this page....

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/colin_w/colour%20problems.htm

You might want to try and read all of it to get a better understanding but you could just jump to Page 7 Printers. I specifically mention the settings for the IP4500.

Colin should I set my Epson 1400 to the same settings? It does allow for it.

Sorry Colin. The same settings as for the 2400 in your instructions.

Ok....

I think that would be a good idea since they come from the same stable.:)

Thank you. Will have a go. I can always reset it if I don't like it. I must say though that photographs look absolutely fine to me:) Should I let sleeping dogs lie or experiment:confused:

Images are very subjective. ;)

Try the settings 'as per the book' and see what you get. I'd be interested to know your results. Don't forget the settings have to match the paper types.
