How do I move my PSE 4.0 Catalog from a Windows XP computer to a Vista computer? Thanks.

Adobe doesn’t support PSE 4 on Vista; people have posted mixed reports about getting it to work on Vista, using Vista’s Program Compatibility Wizard. So you might consider upgrading to PSE 7 (or 6).

To move catalogs between computers, Adobe recommends making a PSE backup on the original computer and restoring it on the new computer. They have a pretty good tech note that explains how to do that when you’re restoring with PSE 6:

The same general method would probably work with PSE 4, given the proviso that you may not even get PSE 4 working well on Vista.
