photo manipulation

I am trying to take a color photo of my daughter, put it into grey scale, but keep her eyes blue. Is this possible?

There are a couple of ways to do what you want. One way is to select the eyes with the selection brush and then invert the selection and remove the color from the rest of the photo.
another way is to open the photo in color and duplicate the layer. Then do a layer adjustment (use the little black and white circle above the layer palet , on the top layer.Adjust hue and saturation to remove the color. Using a black as a color and a soft brush paint away the black and white where you want the color to show through. Change the color of the brush to white and you can touch up any places where you removed to much.
