A couple of P.E. 5 questions...

Hello,

1) When I import new photos (photos that have yet to be downloaded), many of the photos that have already been imported are checked. How can I set it up to only check and import the new photos since my previous download so I don't download the same photo twice?

2) How can I tag my photos so that it shows my name and copyright rather than camera model when the mouse arrow hovers over it? I tried metatag but that didn't work.

Sam, are you setting the Author or Copyright fields in the Apply Metadata options of the advanced Photo Downloader options? Or are you selecting the option Preserve Current Filename in XMP?

With PSE 6, if you select those options, the downloader changes the file when it downloads it and considers the version you’ve imported into the Organizer different than the one on the card. If you clear those options, then PSE 6 doesn’t get confused:

It’s very possible PSE 5 has the same bug.
