Hi,

Is it possible to use LR instead of ACR when editing RAW in PSE? I would like LR to be the default RAW editor when opening RAWs from PSE. I like the organizer in PSE better than in LR, but the RAW-tuning in LR is more powerful than ACR.

You can - although it won't be the default. Set lightroom.exe up as the althrnate editor in Preferences and the edit menu in the Organizer will then have an Edit in Lightroom option. The image you edit will get added to the Lightroom library and some of the edits you make in LR2 (the selective ones for example) won't show up in PSE (at least not in the current version) unless you bring it back from Lightroom into Elements as a new tiff or a psd file. But it is possible to use them together.

Have you been over to http://www.photoshopuser.com and visited the free Lightroom 2 Learning Center with its video tutorials?

In my humble opinion, the LR2/PSE6 workflow environment is a much more stable set of tools than PSE6 Editor/Organizer judging from the constant flow of problems and complaints about Organizer on the forums. I have worked with LR since it's inseption, and PSE since 5, and I have NEVER used Organiser.

LR2 should be used as the first step in the workflow, downloading, cataloging, sorting, tagging, rating, cropping, basic adjustments RAW and jpgs, etc., printing (to hardcopy or to WEB), and in many, many cases, you will never need to even contend with PSE6. But if you do for some serious editing (like removing your Ex from that favorite vacation pic), you can simply launch PSE6 with all the LR adjustments (or not) to your image passed to PSE6, and when you are done editing in PSE6, return right to LR with the finished product already included in the LR catalog.

An frankly, the new LR2 gives less reason to need PSE6 for me and my workflow. Obviously for others, especialling when doing projects like collaging, scrapbooking, etc., there is no equal to PS (E6 & CS3), but then, that's not what LR was designed for.
