Hi all. Love the site. I am a new Elements user and have been following some of the amazing tutorials here and learning lots.

This morning (while not following a tutorial I might add) I was trying out different things in Elements 6. I clicked "find edges" in the effects palette and then wanted to undo it. Instead of clicking "undo" I clicked the trashcan next to the apply button (still in the effects palette). Sadly, when asked, "do you really want to delete find edges?" I clicked yes.

I have not yet closed the program or the file I was working on. I do still see "find edges" in the filter drop down menu. Is that even the same thing?

Is it really gone and can I get it back?

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.

Hi ..

... and welcome to the Village :)

Its OK it is fixable ... first make sure that you have show hidden files and folders check in Windows.

Next rename the Mediadatabase.db3 to MediadatabaseOLD.db3 it is located at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Locale\ en-US and restart Elements ... the Mediadatabase.db3 will rebuild but you may have to wait a while for it to do so

(the path is Vista is C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0 ... etc)
