View Full Version : Configuring scrolling behavior

I am using PE 3.

In general, I love the way PE behaves, but its auto-scrolling drives me up the wall.

I might be lassoing and item, and go slightly off the edge of the image, whereupon the window does a high-speed auto-scroll, shooting the image way out of reach, forcing me to abort my current lassoing attempt and start over.

There are other functions in which auto-scrolling also kicks in -- always to the detriment of what I am trying to accomplish.

Is there any way to disable auto-scrolling?

Hi, here is a way to avoid the lasso tool going wild.
Before you get real close to the edge of your screen hold the spacebar.
This will get you a temporary hand tool.
You can now reposition your screen.
As soon as you release the spacebar you can continue with what you were doing.
This scrolling behavior is more pronounced in maximized mode.
The middle box in the top right corner.
Two little boxes means the working screen is maximized.
Click it and it will show just one box.

Thanks. I will give it a try.

I would love, however, so see PE re-implement the auto-scrolling, if even just to have it scroll slowly instead of shooting out of control. I cannot imagine the current behavior's being useful.
