I did this from a tutorial and now can't for the life of me remember where it was from-I thought here...:(

That's close, but not quite-the tut uses halftone I think-thanks!:)

Carol, I hope you find the answer. I'd be interested in this tut too.
BTW, I tried Google using search terms such as: pop art (or comic effect) halftone effect photoshop tutorials; I found a lot of tuts. It's time-consuming; however, as you know exactly what you're looking for, it may not be such a daunting task!:)
