Lost my pics!

Just opened PSE 5 which I've had for about 2 years and my photos have disappeared. They are all still in My Pictures, but are not showing in Organiser. I've never had this happen before. Anyone have any ideas?

First, Try a file->Catalog->Recover.

What do you see when you open Organizer?

It is possible that you have accidentally opened a new catalog. Try File->Catalog->Open and select your catalog (usually named My Catalog).

When I open the Organiser I have 17 items all of which are creations i.e slideshows etc. When I click on any tags it shows empty.

At the bottom left of the Organizer window, mine shows

8752 items Dated Jan 2002 - Dec 2008 | 29 Items not shown

What does yours say?

Also, PSE comes with a built-in "Hidden" tag. What happens when you select that?

Hi Paige, Mine says, 26 items dated Jan 2004 - Dec 2008. Haven't found the hidden tag yet.

Well, then the only other thing I can ask is: do you have a recent backup of your catalog?
