How do you download fonts from the internet and get them into the program and font menu?

Go to a page like http://www.1001freefonts.com/fonts/bfonts3.htm
download the font that you want to a folder of your choice (maybe one you make in my documents)
unzip the font
If using XP....
Go to control panel, open the font folder, drop in your unzipped fonts.
Your choice to save the folder and zipped/unzipped fonts after that (Don't delete the font folder in control panel!)

I keep all my fonts in a folder on my desktop. I only open them as I want them, reduce it to taskbar THEN open PSE (not before or PSE won't recognize it). Installing fonts to windows font folder makes computer run slow and is unecessary.

hi riversidema,
Thanks for the reply. I followed your instructions for the font . I can get it to my computer. I can open it. However, when I unzip the file it won't copy it to the font folder in Windows or the Control Panel. Any idea where I'm going wrong?
