Keeping on hard disk - or not?

I have a lot of photographs which have been used in montages etc. but I am unlikely to use again. They will be backed up to my external hard drive when I have sorted out the filing.

Would it be reasonable to then delete them from my hard disk to make it easier to find the ones I want? I'm not pushed for space.

What do other users do?

Hi there,

I'd say it would make sense to archive files you rarely use or look-at onto an external hard drive and then delete them from the internal one. That's the way I'd work anyway!

And to really do a backup - not only to external but to DVD's - just incase the backup goes bad for some reason.
