Please help. I have an archaic version of Elements, I hate to say it, but 2.0. I am ready to move up to Version 6, finally. In looking for the best place to purchase it, I came upon a site, where they say you can download the OEM version of 6.0 for only $27. They say their software is so cheap because you aren't paying for the packaging, compact discs, and manuals.
This seems to make sense, but is this too good to be true? I'd like to save the bucks, but I don't want to waste any either.
Please advise as to weather this is a good way to obtain 6.0.
Thanks!
Blue

Bluemoon:
I can't comment on the website but yes the price is cheap enough. I got my software at Costco and in the box was a disk from OnOne and I think I paid about ten bucks more.
Thats all I got however, the help files are on the CD in Acrobat, No manual, and a few little cards for other software adds. Help files are nothing of any use anyway. You can get more help here in minutes. The only problem is if you have to do a reinstall. Then what?
Hopefully someone will come along with their ideas.

Hi Blue ...
... and welcome to the Village :)
OEM software is usually bundled with something like a Camera, Printer, Wacom Tablet etc. Selling it without the item it was originally sold with breaches the Adobe License of the product.
.. and that is the best case senario. Often sites that advertise OEM software are really selling pirate versions.
It really is best to buy from a well known site ..
