*****UPDATED with answers:*****
OK, I ran out of time, so I ended up contacting Adobe Support & posted how they instructed me to proceed in the other forum (where I first posted this question). See this link for instructions: http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39906

This was my original post with the questions/problems:
I posted this in the regular PSE6 forum but still haven't gotten all the answers I need in order to go forward & I am running out of time on a project I need to complete for some1 else, so plz excuse me, but am also now putting it here in the hopes some1 will see it & be able to answer all my questions within. TIA:
PLEASE HELP!! I have 2 questions about restoring catalogs please.
Background: I unfortunately had a massive hard drive corruption (while trying to install Premiere4--but that's another story for another day!!), had luckily backed up my 2 separate Organizer catalogs (1 for photos & 1 for Digital Scrapbooking elements) to my EHD (which is my "K: drive")--both were originally created in PSE5 but both had been converted to PSE6 a while ago--both catalogs are "seriously" tagged & organized!! Ended up having to have the hard drive completely replaced (YIKES!!), have now reinstalled PSE6 onto the new hard drive, wanted to restore both catalogs:
1) I did do a restore on the 1 catalog already w/all my photos--was a bit confused  when I was doing so about which method to use, so I just winged it & used RESTORE to ORIGINAL LOCATION (yes I know :o, I should have come here first!!!)--seems OK so far--the tags are all there--when I go into the DISPLAY by FILE LOCATION, the files & folders are all in the same places they used to be, with the MAIN & ONLY exception being that the old hard drive file structure had "HP ADMINISTRATOR" in the file & folder names right after the "C:" & the new hard drive does NOT use that "HP ADMINISTRATOR", but everything else is the same--I have NOT done a reconnect yet (of course, I did do that B-4 I backed up both catalogs)----when I do that, am I going to get the dreaded UNCONNECTED message for everything in that catalog? Or am I ok the way I did the restore?? If not, what should I do now??? Should I delete it & do it over or...???
2) Now, after feeling uneasy abt the way I did the Restore on the 1st catalog, I came here to find out if there was anything different I should do to restore the 2nd catalog, & I saw some threads that said folks had somehow overwritten their 1st catalog when trying to restore the 2nd one. Sooooo, how do I proceed??? BTW, BOTH catalogs are STILL backed up onto my EHD (K: drive). I want to do this right, so ALL tags are restored, as well as of course, BOTH catalogs, & all are restored correctly, so they all function well going forward.
I appreciate any & all help for both these issues and I am in a holding pattern until I get proper guidance from the experts here!! TIA!!
