I am trying to clear out my Download folder & I have some that have .tpl on the end. Example: Art History Watercolor1.tpl. Would like to know where to put them or what to do with them?
Thanks for any help,
Christell

Christell,
Have you any recollection of the how/when/why that Art History Watercolor.tpl got downloaded?
1. Photoshop Elements DOES NOT have an Art History Brush. Photoshop has.
You appear to have Photoshop Elements 5 & 6. So.........
2. .tpl file is a template format. And, from what I have read, it is a standard for other similar files to follow. In the specific case of the Photoshop Art History Brush....after you select this Art History Brush, you can change the brush set to Wet Flat Preset and use anyone of its Watercolor options. I suspect that the Art History.tpl orchestrates this. In my Photoshop 7, I find the Art History.tpl in the Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop 7/Presets/Tools.
As for .tpl files in general, I do not find any in Photoshop Elements 6. I do not know about Photoshop Elements 5. In Photoshop Elements 3, I can find them scattered Programs Files/Adobe/Photoshop Elements 3/Shared Assets/Slideshow Folder as well as Templates Folder.
But, do not delete what you have until we get more opinions.

Thanks for replying. Looks like it was in Sept & Oct 07' when I got them so I don't remember. I also have 2 more: Art history brush watercolor starter.tpl & Art brush3.tpl. Maybe it was for Photoshop & not sure what site I got these from. The file looks like an ATN file just a white rectangle with top folded corner.

It looks like it may have come from this website...

I doubt that it is of any value to you if you are working in Elements and not in CS3.

.tpl files are tool settings presets. Unfortunately, PSE doesn't let you load these.

Jeff, Looks like I did get them at that site.
Thanks Barbara for information on these. Now I can delete these out of my folder & will know for future downloads.
