I am retouching a picture for a friend whose daughter does pageants and need to add eyelashes. What is the besy way to do this? or what is a good place to download eyelashes?
Thanks!

You could set your brush size to a single pixel, zoom in and draw your own. You could also use the single-stem grass brush to create a set, then reduce the size and curve to fit.

You can copy and paste suitable substitutes. Adjust the color so that they look natural.

1. Among the default brushes in PE, #134 - grass can be used for this purpose.
2. Nagel Series 28 brushes are available for free download:

Among these brushes #85 - grass is quite nice. You will get a bit more than is desirable for eyelashes. I have used this brush on a new blank layer at the top of the stack, rotated into place, then erased the excess with the eraser tool.
3. I don't mean to infer that eyelashes are grass!!

Hi,
I downloaded the suggested brush set, which states it is compatible with certain Elements versions. I am running Elements 6--a note comes up saying that it is not compatible with it.
But---I have never loaded new brushes before, so could you tell me the correct way to do it?. I know how to unzip, and I put them in the brush folder. When I unzipped it created a new folder, that is what is in the Brush folder. Is this correct?
Thank you for any help.

Kimmer,
I'm using PSE6 I downloaded this brush set and had no problems. I saved the set to a folder where I keep all my brushes and then open them in Elements as I need them by clicking on the double arrow to the right of the brush picker and selecting 'Load Brushes' then navigating to the folder where the brushes are saved.

Obsidian Dawn has eyelash brushes, in fact she has an amazing collection of brushes.
these (http://www.brushes.obsidiandawn.com/sets/eyelashes.htm) look good to me.

I have enhanced eyelashes with the Smudge tool. I create a new blank layer above the portrait. I set the Smudge tool Strength to about 60-70%, and the size at 1 or 2 pixels, and make sure the All Layers box is checked. Then I smudge out from the eyelid line in a curved stroke wherever an eyelash needs to be added or to extend an original eyelash.
By doing this on a blank layer, you can erase any eyelash you don't like & redo it, lower the opacity of the layer if needed, or apply a light gaussian blur filter to that layer to help it blend in. And, of course, if you decide you don't like the effect at all, drag that layer to the trash.:D

Thanks, Bayla, for the reply.
I have re-installed them to a new folder and it is working just fine! Thanks,
