If your not familiar with the tools, what they do, and where to access them getting things done is rather difficult.
Photoshop Elements 4: Top 100 Simplified Tips & Tricks
http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-0471777986.html
I found that a book like this not only teaches you how to manipulate photos, but the book clearly illustrates exactly what tools to use, and where you find them. It illustrates most of what you may want to do. Each tip or trick is illustrated in easy to follow step by step instructions that even beginner can follow.
It has photos of actual screen shots of what your screen will look like at each step.
You should go to a book store and check out some of the books being offered, buy the one that makes most sense to you.
The advantage of a book over a video is that you can follow a book step by step while working, where you'd have to view the video many times, unless you were very familiar with terminology.
If they don't have a Elements 6 book, the latest version should suit you just as well. The methods and tools are the same no matter which version your using.
It's important that you learn the terminology and tools.
