Does anyone know how to change (blend) the underlying colors (red, blue, green) of a layer stlye in PSE3? I'm using a clouds rendering to create an icing effect.
Thanks in advance!
Matt :D

Matt ...
I'm not 100% sure what you mean ... do you mean that you have applied a layer style to part of an image but you want to change the colour of the layers style itself ??
Using Elements there isn't a way of changing the layer style colour but if you let us know exactly what you have done and which layer style you are using then maybe we can find a workaround for it :)
If you can then post an image on Pixentral that would help ...

Wendy,
Thanks for the response. I created a separate layer of my background and rendered clouds to it. I changed the blend mode to screen. Now, I'm wanting to adjust the fade the colors in my separate layer to blend to the background.
I saw this on Russell Brown's web site http://www.russellbrown.com/tips/photoshop.html . He has a technique in Photoshop CS where he blends a separate layer's colors by adjusting each color channel with sliders. This can make a summer landscrape into a frost pic.
Thanks, Matt :D

Hi Matt ...
You can't do that in Elements but what you can do is make the clouds on a new layer ... Select the magic wand, set the tolerance to about 40 and click on a dark area you will probably have to click on another dark gey area too ...
Next do Select>Feather try 10
Select>Inverse
Edit>Clear ...
You will have to experiment to get it to look OK
See if that works?

Wendy....
I posted a landscrape pic I've been working on. I'm wanting to create a frost on the ground. I tried the method you suggested earlier. It did a wonderful job of creating it on the window surface. I'm wanting it to blend into the ground. Any other thoughts?
Thanks,
Matt

Hi ...
Try distorting the layer ...do Image>Transform>Distort
Grab hold of the middle handle at the top and put it down
The take hold of one of the bottom corners and pull it way out
Do the same with the other corner
That should make the layer look as though it is flat on the ground ..
