Camera Raw options

although I'm using the latest RAW software version, I noticed that I don't have all the options available to me when I open a photo through elements6 as there are in some tutorials I have viewed of users opening a photo in PS3. I would think that the raw program would be the same across the board. Am I doing something wrong? or do I have to have PS3 in order to use all the options in camera RAW?

What you are seeing is the normal behavior of RAW inside PSE. Even though both PSE and PS use the same ACR profile, they each have different capabilities. PS gives you all the options that ACR has to offer, while PSE does not. Remember, PSE is, in its simplest description, is a scaled down version of PS.

If you want all the capabilities that ACR can give you, without spending the bucks to get PS, you might consider Lightroom.

The Camera Raw feature set is limited in Photoshop Elements. You need either full Photoshop or Lightroom in order to access the full dialog.
