I am looking for a way to make a standard photo look more like it has been painted with spray paint as graffiti and am completely lost. I've played with some filters but am not getting the desired effect. Any suggestions for me?
Thanks so much for your help!

Have you played around with any of the brushes? They have some that are spray paint brushes or splatters. Just about anything you can find in a brush download.

Christell,
That's a great idea. I'm not sure how to apply it to a photography, though. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hi 1access,
Not sure what you want to do... make a whole photo look like it's graffiti, paint graffiti text onto a photo, or something else?
Is this anything like what you're interested it?

If not, check out these google results to see if any fit the bill:

If you see one you like but it's for Photoshop and contains commands not in Elements, let us know and we'll see if there's a work-around to do it in Elements.

Hi ...
If its adding graffiti to a photograph you are looking for then there is a tutorial in the Subscriber Area>Tutorials .. its called Making Graffiti.
If its making the whole image look like graffiti then try experimenting with Filter>Artistic>Poster Edges (or Cutout) ..

Thanks so much Wendy and Diana. I'll check out the links.
I'm trying to take a portrait type head shot and change it to a graffiti look head shot. I will have it merged on a wall but am less concerned about that step than trying to figure out how to make it look spray painted vs a snap shot.
Any further ideas are very welcome. And, thanks so much for the help you have provided!

1access,
are you thinking of something like this?
It only takes 2 steps: Double the layer and set the Blend Mode to Hard Mix. You can then lower the opacity, lighten or darken with levels if wanted. This is 100% Opacity.
You can also use Posterize instead.

It sounds like that first link in my previous post may work for what you want to do. You'd have to use a selection tool and cut out the person from the headshot and add it to the photo of the wall and follow the tutorial from there.
