Is there anyway to get quick divide lines or boxes into even sections?
For example if I want to have a graph paper like backgroung how can I make one?
Or if I have a box and want it divided into 3, 4 or however many even sections how is this done?
Also is there an easy way to see the size of a selected area? Right now I select the area, then open a new file with 'new from clipboard' and then use the resize image menu to get the dimensions, really a pain. Is there an easier way?
Thanks!

Hi Ooman.
Can only help with the last question.
In PSE3 toolbar, go to "Window" and choose "Info".
W and H show the size of your selected area in pixels.
Hope this help.

Hi there ...
... and welcome to the forum :)
Do you actually want lines on the image itself of is this just something to help you work?
If its the former then you can make a small square with an outline and use it to define a pattern ... you can then fill your image with the pattern and that will give you a grid effect.
http://www.photoshopcafe.com/tutorials/grid/Perspective%20Grid.htm
If its the latter then does View>Grid ... not help. You can change the size of the grid in the preferences.
Do hope that this helps :)

Thanks!
For the welcome and the tips!
I think the grid will work, I forgot that they were resizable.
I'm still usingh ps2. Was going to get ps3, but it came and went in a flash.
I heard that pse4 disables some 3rd part actions and plug-ins. Is that correct?

Hi ...
Yes some of the add ons donlt work in PSE4 .. curves, colour balance, colour mixer etc.
Which addons are you usingg at the moment ... and if you use them a lot then perhaps you are better staying with PSE2 or even moving to PSE3 :)
