I am trying out PSE 6 after using 3 for several years. When I drop down the brushes to view them, the thumbnails are so dark, I can't see them. I don't want to mess with the brightness & contrast on my monitor. Is there a way to fix this. I also don't see where/how to change the type of view (text, little, big thumbnails, etc.) In 3, I just right-clicked and could change them. Thanks for any advice.

PS - I just read the post of the same problem by Garth (?) and, prior to discovering this issue, I just re-calibrated and I really like what I've got; especially in terms of brightness for long-term work. So.. if there are any other answers????? (why aren't brushes set up like Shapes, with the white background?) I also still do need help with how to change the view, if possible?

doverbey, unfortunately the dark interface can not be changed in PSE6. You can however see the brushes in list form or large thumbs. In the upper right corner of the brush panel is a tiny black right-pointing arrow, click it and make your changes from the list.

I had the same situation. The only fix that I found was to re-load Adobe Gamma and re-set the brightness/gamma.....it works...

this is seriously random. I just opened the program today for the first time since yesterday (and a re-boot), and I can see all the brushes with no problem today. Anyway..... as always, thanks for the great help.
Peace Out
