My hard drive crashed and I managed to copy all the PSE5 files to a second drive but I still had to reinstall pse5. Does anyone know where the custom brushes I made went? Are they a file I can just copy over (assuming I can find them)?

Another issue is I lost one of my sharpening options with the reinstall. I know another sharpening option was installed in an update but it isn't in the latest update on the adobe site. I liked it but now it gone too. Any thoughts?

arlon, if you saved your custom brushes ttheir own file, they probably have been saved to a folder something like this (in Windows XP)...

C:\Documents and Settings\[yourname]\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Presets\Brushes

This of course is where 6.0 stores them but it may be the same for 5.0.

Sorry, I can't help with the sharpening iquestion.

Jeff, thanks so much. That's where they where. Copied the adobe files from BU drive and everything including the sharpening option I had is like it was. Thanks again, I'd never have looked in there.
